Gannon Waye
Independent Australian artist and songwriter
Gannon Waye is an independent Australian artist whose music lives at the intersection of emotional truth, melody, survival, grief, and self-respect. His songs are written from the parts of life that people often hide until a song gives them permission to speak.
His debut single Thankyou introduced a voice willing to draw a boundary and choose a new way forward. Without You Here moved deeper into grief, written for his late mother Sonia and carried by the ache of still needing the person who knew him best.
Alongside the music, Gannon is developing This Is Me: a personal storytelling project that gives context to the songs and traces the journey through childhood, identity, rejection, recovery, loss, and purpose.

The story project behind the releases
This Is Me is the long-form heart of the site: interview-led storytelling that becomes episodes, reels, press angles, and captions around the songs. It should begin with a clear first release plan from September 1, then move through approved edits on a steady rhythm.

This Is Me gives the music a living context. It is where I speak about what I experienced, what it cost me, what changed me, and how I found enough voice to keep building.

Each episode can become a longer interview piece, then split into quote-led reels, song moments, captions, and press angles so the story travels without losing its honesty.

Every public edit should be checked for tone, privacy, legal risk, and emotional clarity before release. The focus stays on my journey and impact, not naming or incriminating anyone else.
